1999 4runner Key Will Not Lock Doors

1999 4runner key will not lock doors.

It is the fuse block that needs to be replaced. When the setting or canceling operation is complete all the doors are locked and then unlocked. Insert the key into the ignitoin repeatedly in and out 6 times in a row or just keep doing so until the hazard flashers flash on the dash board observe the dash board while inserting key. Oem toyota 4runner back hatch door lock assembly 69350 35020 fits 1998 2002. Toyota 4runner tacoma factory oem 69057 35070 ignition switch lock cylinder key fits. Then you can t use the key. This is a pretty easy fix that entails you opening up the key fob and replacing the battery.

Took to dealer for this problem and engine ck lite issue. Mechanically not so much. The part is 238 approx. 2000 4runner lock solution.

Key fob battery has been replaced still no fix. It took me 1 0 1 5 hours to install it. Key fobs can either be opened by removing a screw or squeezing the sides to pop it. Key fob fails to lock unlock.

It will unlock with the remote and both door switchs. So electrically the circuit is good. Customization that can be configured at toyota dealer. If you have a second key remote and you haven t already done so check to make sure this works so you can be certain it isn t a problem with the door lock functionality.
